 Cladding welding is the process of coating the surface of a workpiece with materials that possess specific properties using welding methods. The purpose of cladding welding differs from that of general welding methods; instead of joining workpieces, it aims to modify the surface of the workpiece to obtain a coating layer with special properties such as wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance, or to repair workpieces whose dimensions have been reduced due to wear or machining errors.
