Polymer Identification

The principle of polymer identification by Raman spectroscopy is a non-destructive analytical method. Its fundamental principle involves stimulating the sample with a laser, causing the molecules to vibrate and produce their natural spectral signals, thereby allowing the chemical composition and structure of the sample to be inferred. Raman spectroscopy can provide a wealth of important information about polymer materials, including molecular structure and composition, stereoregularity, crystallinity and orientation, molecular interactions, and surface and interface structures.
