Lithium Battery Materials

Examining the structure and structural changes of ternary materials is useful for better understanding the performance of ternary materials. XRD is a device specifically used to analyze the crystal structure of materials. It can obtain the unit cell parameters and ion mixing information of ternary materials through refinement and is widely used in ternary material preparation technology, material doping modification, as well as in determining the in-situ high-temperature thermal properties of ternary materials. In-situ charge and discharge XRD experiments can directly investigate the structural changes and phase transitions of positive and negative electrode materials during the charge and discharge process of button-type lithium-ion battery materials. In addition, XRD technology can also be used to perform thermal failure analysis of lithium-ion batteries, for example, by conducting XRD analysis of combustion residues to initially determine the cause of the failure.
