Asbestos Analysis

There are many methods available for asbestos testing. Since the environment where asbestos occurs, the purpose of the assessment, and the chosen methods vary, a single test cannot address all issues. The detection efficiency and accuracy can only be guaranteed by combining these methods. XRD, PLM, SEM, FTIR, and other instruments are mostly used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of asbestos. The testing principle of the X-ray diffractometer (XRD) is that each mineral has a unique X-ray diffraction pattern and data. The intensity of the diffraction peak is proportional to its content, which can be used to determine whether a sample contains specific asbestos minerals, identify the type of asbestos, and quantify its content.
