Graphitization Degree of Carbon Materials
Carbon materials are currently the ideal anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The type of carbon material determines the lithium intercalation potential and the reversibility performance of the operating voltage of lithium-ion batteries. Gravimetric capacity is an important indicator for measuring carbon materials, but testing the gravimetric capacity is usually done through battery testing; this is very time-consuming, and the stability of the test values is relatively low.
The degree of graphitization refers to the proportion of graphite crystals in composite materials containing graphite crystals and various transitional carbon phases. Theoretically, the gravimetric capacity of carbon materials can be predicted according to the degree of graphitization. XRD can confirm the presence of graphite structure, evaluate the degree of graphitization and crystallization, and thus calculate the gravimetric capacity of carbon materials.
